LINES OF LOVE

Ecclesiastes 7:8-9: "Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools."

The decalogue portrays the simple ideal of a man as a plain, solid, and unchanging column of stability in an uncertain and everchanging world. Similarly, it shows a woman in varying positions expressing the complexity of her emotional life. At all times, the man remains her reliable support and a firm life anchor. She, in turn, provides him with endless inspiration and joy.
